A strength that I had when making my production was that I was able to pick out the main parts of the horror genre to create the perfect scene for my opening title sequence. From feedback, I have heard that I was good at picking music to create the horror atmosphere. It was a good choice to set the mood for my opening title sequence. Another good thing was the way I presented my blog. I was creative and unique so the blog wasn't boring or plain.
What could have been better:
Something that I could improve on is my time management skills as I was quite slow at uploading things on my blog. It was only towards the end of the course that i started to upload quite a few blogs and actually completing the work. I spent too much time making sure the opening title sequence was perfect and at a good standard for marking. I should have planned each week what i was going to do ad what needed to be done so all the work was done at the right time.
Another thing that I should have done better was making the quality of the footage a lot better. Because I used my IPad, the quality in the dark setting wasnt good and that lead to me loosing marks overall.
Targets for A2:
- Plan at an early stage so the trailer is completed at a good time so I can spend more time on other peices of coursework and blog work.
- Use a better camera for a better quality. Having a better quality would make my trailer look more professional and would give me more marks.
- Make sure I get the best footage I can get. Play around with different ideas.
