Poster design

This is the first design that I made for my poster. I added a grainy effect to the image to make it look distorted and to hide the character a little to add a sense of confusion and mystery to the character. I chose a dark colour to make it quite eerie so the genre of the trailer pops out a bit. Even though I think this is a good design, I don't think it presents my trailer well enough and its not of a good enough standard to look realistic and professional enough. Another thing is that it doesn't fit my colour scene at all.
After rethinking my idea, I decided to change the look completely. I wanted to have the main character the main focus of the poster, with his face directly centered with a dark and dangerous expression. I also wanted his face to be a lot clearer to bring more focus from the audience. Finally, I needed it to follow my colour scheme to ensure that all three products were similar in some way.

This is the new poster that I created. I definitely prefer this poster and it completes the idea of my trailer and is more effective towards the audience.
Feedback was to add the BBFC age rating logo at the bottom of the poster so the audience know straight away if its OK for them to watch. It also gives the audience an idea of what type of film it could be; what genre it could be under.
The last piece of feedback was to move the City Light Studios logo across slightly and make it a little bit bigger so it filled the space more. This is so that side of the poster didn't look empty compared to the other side.

This was the last poster draft that i created before finalising it completely. The image, title name, release date and effects are all perfect, however there are slight improvements that could make it a lot better.
For example, feedback that I received was to get rid of my Fire to Ash logo and move my City Light Studios logo across to fill that space. After that, move the BBFC logo over to the other side due to the fact that that is the space that you would usually find the BBFC logo.
The next improvement was to put the surname of the cast below the firstname and make it a dark red so it stands out a bit.
Finally, make the production text a little smaller as it doesn't really need to be that clear.
